The Sheriffmuir Doublet is a traditional piece of evening wear, worn with a kilt and with high collar and gauntlet cuffs. In the past this was usually worn with a large lace jabot, although increasingly it is worn with a necktie or rouche tie (as shown) under the waistcoat. The sheriffmuir also takes a shoulder plaid for more formal occasions.

Some great, some not so great.

After debating over several Pakistani tailors for an expedited delivery of a new kilt jacket and waistcoat I decided to go with Biznimart. At first, my confidence in Biznimart was rewarded with excellent online customer service and good overall communication. Similarly, the jacket and waistcoat were shipped promptly, with a delivery date in advance of the event where it was needed. The problems only arose once the jacket was delivered. Sadly, the sleeves were cut roughly 1.25"-1.5" too short for my arms and the buttons that I requested not used. Upon discovering these issues I immediately went to my local tailor who informed me that due to the construction of the jacket that he would not be able to extend the arm length without adding additional, unmatching fabric. Rather than having my tailor modify the jacket I returned to Biznimart's customer service. They apologized and offered to send me both additional fabric, to make the arm length modification, and the buttons I requested. Since speaking with them I haven't received a status on these additional materials, but hope to have them delivered at some point. The event that prompted ordering the jacket came and went without the jacket being modified.
